Privacy Policy
Basic Information on Data Processing
Protecting your personal data is a matter of special concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of legal provisions (GDPR). In this privacy policy, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing in the context of our website.
This privacy policy informs you about the type, scope, and purpose of the processing of personal data within our online offering and the associated websites, functions, and content (hereinafter collectively referred to as “online offering” or “website”). The privacy policy applies regardless of the domains, systems, platforms, and devices (e.g., desktop or mobile) used to access the online offering.
Collection, Processing & Use of Personal Data
Regarding the terms used (e.g., “personal data” or their “processing”), we refer to the definitions in Article 4 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The personal data processed within the framework of this online offering includes usage data (e.g., the websites visited within our online offering, interest in our products) and content data (e.g., entries in the contact form).
The term “user” encompasses all categories of persons affected by data processing. This includes our business partners, customers, prospective clients, and other visitors to our website.
We process your personal data only in compliance with the relevant data protection laws. This means that your data will only be processed if there is a legal basis for doing so. Specifically, this applies if the data processing is necessary for the provision of our contractual services (e.g., processing of inquiries) or online services, if we have your consent, or if it is based on our legitimate interests (i.e., interest in analyzing, optimizing, and economically operating and securing our online offering; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), particularly in reach measurement, creating profiles for advertising and marketing purposes, as well as collecting access data and using third-party services.
Legal Basis:
We refer to the following legal bases:
- Legal basis for consent: Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 7 GDPR
- Legal basis for processing to fulfill our services and carry out contractual measures: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR
- Legal basis for processing to fulfill our legal obligations: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR
- Legal basis for processing to safeguard our legitimate interests: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR
Security Measures
We take organizational, contractual, and technical security measures in accordance with the state of the art to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and to protect the data we process against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorized access.
These security measures include, in particular, encrypted transmission of data between your browser and our server.
Disclosure of Data to Third Parties & Third-Party Providers
Disclosure of your data to third parties occurs only within the framework of legal requirements. We will only share your data with third parties if this is necessary, for example, for contractual purposes (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in the economic and effective operation of our business.
If third-party content, tools, or services are used within this privacy policy and the provider’s location is in a third country, it can be assumed that data transfer will take place to the countries where the third-party providers are based. Third countries are understood to be countries where the GDPR does not apply directly, meaning countries outside the EU or the European Economic Area. Data transfer to third countries takes place either when an adequate level of data protection is provided, with the user’s consent, or based on another legal permission.
Contacting Us
If you contact us via contact form or email, your information will be processed to handle the inquiry and its execution (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Collection of Access Data & Logfiles
We collect data about every access to the server on which this website is located based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) (so-called server logfiles). Access data includes the name of the retrieved website, file, date and time of retrieval, transmitted data volume, message of successful retrieval, browser type and version, your operating system, referrer URL (the page previously visited, if our website was accessed via a link), and your IP address.
Logfile information is stored for security reasons (e.g., to investigate misuse or fraud) for a maximum of three months and then deleted. Data that needs to be stored for evidence purposes is excluded from deletion until the respective incident has been fully clarified.
Cookies & Reach Measurement
Cookies are information transmitted by our web server or third-party web servers to your web browser and stored there for later retrieval. Cookies can be small files or other forms of data storage.
We use “session cookies,” which are stored only for the duration of your current visit to our online presence. A randomly generated unique identification number, called a session ID, is stored in a session cookie. A cookie also contains information about the origin and storage duration. These cookies cannot store any other data. Session cookies are deleted when you end your session and, for example, close your browser.
You will be informed about the use of cookies for pseudonymous reach measurement in this privacy policy.
Opt-Out:
If you do not want cookies to be stored on your computer, we ask you to deactivate the corresponding option in your browser’s system settings. Stored cookies can be deleted in your browser’s system settings. Excluding cookies may result in limited functionality of our website.
You can object to the use of cookies for reach measurement and advertising purposes via the opt-out page of the Network Advertising Initiative: http://optout.networkadvertising.org/ and additionally the U.S. site: http://www.aboutads.info/choices or the European site: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”) based on our legitimate interests (interest in analyzing, optimizing, and economically operating our website, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website is typically transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Compliance with European Data Protection Law:
Google is certified under the Privacy Shield framework and thus provides a guarantee to comply with European data protection law. https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active
Functioning of Google Analytics:
Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of our website, compile reports on your activities within this online offering, and provide us with additional services related to the use of this website and internet usage. Pseudonymous usage profiles may be created from the processed data.
Anonymization of Your Data:
We use Google Analytics only with IP anonymization enabled. This means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within European Union member states or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will your full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. The IP address transmitted by your browser will not be merged with other Google data.

Third-Party Services & Content Integration
It may happen that third-party content (e.g., maps from Google Maps, fonts) is embedded within our website. This requires the providers of such content (“third parties”) to receive your IP address. Without the IP address, the content cannot be delivered to your browser. Your IP address is, therefore, necessary for displaying the content.
We only strive to use content from providers who use your IP address only to deliver the content.
Third parties may use pixel tags (invisible graphics, also called “web beacons”) for statistical or marketing purposes. These “pixel tags” allow evaluation of information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The pseudonymous information may be stored in cookies on your device and may contain technical information about the browser and operating system, referring websites, visit time, and additional details about your use of our online offering, and may be linked with data from other sources.
